Missionary to Mexico

Distribution of Literature: When we carry the gospel message, we have a trailer equipped with a loudspeaker which repeatedly announces the directions to the preaching services of Misión Bautista Gracia Irresistible (Irresistible Grace Baptist Mission). The video presents questions and answers and also brief sermons that carry the message of the gospel. This trailer stays parked while we pass out tracts and preach for house to house. We print tracts and books which are displayed in a tract rack on the trailer and we announce that the literature is free, so the people who pass by can take some.

History

In 1991, I was saved, by the grace of God, in a Baptist Church that doesn't preach the doctrines of grace. I enrolled in a Bible Institute in 1993 and graduated in 1996. Then in 2000, I was sent by that church to begin a mission in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas. Soon after, in 2001, I began to learn the doctrines of grace by means of my brother Enrique Cantú, who was a member then of Grace Baptist Church in Georgetown, KY, USA; by 2002, I understood and preached the doctrines of grace and communicated this to the church that had sent me out. As a result, I was excluded from the church and the financial support was withdrawn. Thus, in 2003, I was baptized with scriptural baptism and ordained to the ministry by Bro Tom Byrd, who was pastor of my brother Enrique, in grace Baptist Church in Georgetown, KY, USA. Following my baptism, I administered scriptural baptism to the brethren who were with us in the church, but also lacked proper baptism. Then, in 2010, the Iglesia Bautista Berea (Berea Baptist Church) approved my going out to do missionary work and elected Brother Esven Porras to be their new pastor. That same year, we began to work in an outlying area of Ciudad Victoria calling the new work, ""Misión Bautista Puerta Estrecha"" (Strait Gate Baptist Mission). In 2013, Iglesia Bautista Berea (Berea Baptist Church) assumed the responsibility for that mission work. My family and I moved then to the city of Matamoros to initiate the mission work in the which we are laboring presently.
